Instilling Strong Family Values In Young People

On February 28, 2025, at 14:00, the senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages Gumarova Sh.B., Issabayeva B.K., Kudaibergenova L.Ye., Utebekova A.S., Myrzakhmet M.Zh., and Rezhep A.S.  organized an event on the topic: " Instilling  Strong Family Values In  Young People " as part of the university's cooperation project with the United Nations and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal No. 5: "Gender Equality."

The event was attended by the  first-year students of the Kazakh and Russian Departments of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event aimed at  helping  young people understand the importance of family, strengthening  family traditions, and developing  values that contribute to building harmonious relationships.

To engage the audience in the interactive task, participants discussed their views on family values. First-year student Elnura Nasipkaliyeva from the specialty "Translation Studies" at the Kazakh Leading Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KazGASA) gave a presentation on "The Influence of Family on Personality Development." Additionally, Mansur Md Saifullah, a student from Bangladesh, delivered a presentation on "Gender Equality in Bangladesh," covering topics such as family values, domestic violence, and social/gender equality. The speakers shared their opinions on the significance of family in human life.

As part of the event,  the students also defended their creative works on the topic "We are against domestic violence."  The first-year students Kairova Ilnara, Aripzhan Shyryn, Bagybayev Yerkebulan, Bakyt Akerke, Sadykov Timur, Gorokhov Serafim, Aitkaliev Yerdos, Tassanov Sanzhar, Zharylkasyn Bekarys, and Zhaksybek Bexanat presented posters and visual works addressing the issue of domestic violence and calling for its prevention. During the defense, participants explained the ideas behind their works, shared their perspectives on the problem, and suggested possible solutions.

Arunaz Aben shared the results of a social media survey and video interviews.

At the end of the event, participants took part in an online quiz on Kahoot to reinforce key concepts related to family values.

All participants received certificates upon completion of the event.
