SDG-16: Financial planning and savings accounts: Otbasy Bank employees held an informational meeting

On February 17, an important informational meeting for students was held at our educational institution. Representatives of Otbasy Bank attended the event and provided detailed information about the National Fund for Children project. Students born in 2006-2007 of the Higher School of Economics and Business attended the meeting, who learned how to effectively use financial opportunities through this project.
During the meeting, Otbasy Bank specialists explained the main directions and goals of the National Fund for Children project, which will be implemented from 2024. This project involves opening special savings accounts for children and adolescents under the age of 18. The funds allocated from the National Fund are spent annually on children's education, housing, medical services and other important needs.
The students who participated in the event received detailed information about the project and had the opportunity to improve their financial literacy. Many students understood the importance of this project for future financial stability and learned how to open a savings account. In addition, students who have not yet opened an account were offered the opportunity to open a new account, and bank representatives answered all their questions regarding this process.
This event gave students the opportunity to plan financially, effectively use state funds, and take confident steps towards the future. Such meetings will undoubtedly increase the financial literacy of young people and help them look to their future lives with confidence.
