Pedagogical Practice: Gaining Experience and Learning

Pedagogical practice is a crucial stage for students, enabling them to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience and to develop professional skills. From January to March of this year, the 4th-year students majoring in the "6B01701 – Kazakh Language and Literature" were doing their pedagogical practice at JOO High School Almaty.
The pedagogical practice included the demo lessons within the framework of SDG 4: "Quality Education" and focused on enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. The future teachers of Kazakh language and literature effectively applied modern pedagogical methods, adapting their university-acquired theoretical knowledge to real classroom settings.
For example, Zhanarbek Karakat, the 4th-year student of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory, conducted the demo lesson on the topic: "Mukhtar Auezov’s Novel-Epic ‘The Path of Abai’" for the 11th-grade students. Mendesh Ainur delivered a reading literacy lesson on the topic: "National Instruments". These lessons aimed at providing quality knowledge and improving teaching skills through the effective use of modern technologies.
Overall, this practice had a significant impact on the students’ professional development. They understood that teaching is not just giving knowledge but fostering the holistic development of schoolchildren. Without a doubt, they will continue to enhance their professional skills and master innovative teaching methods in the future.
At the end of the practice, the students’ reports were reviewed and discussed at the teaching-staff meeting of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory. The necessary reccomendations were given. The results of the pedagogical practice were positively evaluated.
