
On March 25, 2025, L.A. Tursalueva, the lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature held the lesson on the topic "Traditions and customs of the Kazakh people"with students of the "RET" major . Nauryz is a holiday associated with the arrival of spring and the new year according to the astronomical solar calendar among Iranian and Turkic peoples.Nowruz began to be celebrated in the 1st millennium BC, that is, more than 3 thousand years ago. In the Achaemenid Persian Empire, it was officially celebrated as a religious holiday of Zoroastrianism. Over time, Nowruz spread to the Middle East, Asia Minor, and Central Asia as a spring festival. It is celebrated in Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, as well as in many regions of Russia. Before the holiday, it is customary to clean the house, throw away old things, and forgive grievances. The main dish of the holiday is a seven-ingredient soup - Nauryz-kozhe, which symbolizes prosperity. Concerts, sports games, fairs, theatrical performances are held in cities and villages. On this day, it is customary to lend a hand to those in need, visit relatives, and wish each other well.
The students prepared reports and presentations, recalled the history of our country, and watched films dedicated to the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people.
