The Best Young Scientist is A Guarantee of a Bright Future

The closing ceremony of the IV Farabi International Forum took place at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, marking the conclusion of this large-scale annual event. During the event, the results of the “Best Young Scientist of KazNU” competition were announced. The winners, the young scientists were awarded a prize of 100,000 tenges and received “Best Young Scientist” diplomas from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The solemn ceremony was opened by the Chairman of the Board and Rector of KazNU, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, who congratulated the participants on the Day of Science Workers. The Rector emphasized that the Farabi Forum is aimed at encouraging young scientists and supporting new startups. He also noted that since receiving the status of a research university, KazNU has been actively integrating education and science. In this regard, he stressed that young scientists—those who have already contributed to scientific advancement—will become the foundation of future projects and innovations.
Today, science and education are among the key pillars of the country's development. Young scientists play a particularly important role on this path. The best young scientist is not only someone who has published scientific articles or received recognition, but someone who tirelessly seeks knowledge, is dedicated to their field, and deeply cares about the future of the nation. Such individuals make groundbreaking discoveries across various scientific disciplines and gain international recognition for their work.
Currently, there are numerous government programs and grants available in Kazakhstan to support young scientists. These initiatives represent both a great opportunity and a sign of trust in the younger generation pursuing science. Thanks to this support, many young researchers are able to implement their projects and achieve significant scientific success. The best young scientist is a beacon that illuminates not only the present but also the future. It is evident that their determination and pursuit of knowledge will elevate the scientific standing of our country to new heights.
On this occasion, Sultanbek Kutlugzhon Bahritdinuly was recognized as the “Best Young Scientist” of our faculty. He is a senior lecturer at the Department of Turkology and Language Theory, Faculty of Philology, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and holds a PhD. His research interests focus on the methodology of teaching Turkic languages and historical linguistics. He is involved in both national and international research projects and is the author of several articles published in Scopus-indexed journals.
Dr. Bahritdinuly’s work holds both theoretical and practical value. He teaches courses on reading ancient Turkic runes and medieval Arabic-script texts, sparking students’ interest in historical languages. He also works on challenges related to teaching modern Turkic languages. His scientific and pedagogical contributions are exemplary among young scholars in the field of philology. We believe that his perseverance and intellectual curiosity will help elevate Kazakhstan’s science to a new level.
