On February 27, 2025, an event was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, dedicated to the heroism of Hero of the Soviet Union and heroine of the Great Patriotic War, Aliya Moldagulova, under the title "80th Anniversary of the Great War and the Heroism of Batyr Aliya Moldagulova."

This meaningful event was organized in alignment with several key directions of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Specifically, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 16 – "Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions," the event was aimed at educating young people to develop their historical consciousness and civic responsibility to create a just, peaceful, and inclusive society. In the context of Sustainable Development Goal 4 – "Quality Education," students gained spiritual and civic knowledge through the lives and feats of historical figures, deepening their understanding of national values. In line with Sustainable Development Goal 5 – "Gender Equality," the resilient image of Aliya Moldagulova highlighted the role of Kazakh women in society and the equal rights and opportunities of women.

First-year Religious Studies students participated in the event and got acquainted with new facts about World War II and the heroism of Batyr Aliya Moldagulova. During the event, reports were presented on Aliya's life, her heroism at the front, resilience, and patriotism, along with artistic video materials. The main idea of the event was to foster patriotism, revive historical memory, and cultivate young citizens who will contribute to the creation of a just society.

Such events are an essential part of educating young people to respect historical heritage, emulate the feats of national heroes, and contribute to building a sustainable society. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will continue to contribute to the preparation of future leaders by integrating education, upbringing, and social responsibility in the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
