Discussion on Life-long Education. Lecture 15 of Scientific Reasoning

Reported by Professor Zaure Aytasheva
Graduate students were offered to hold Lecture 15 on Monday, April 28 as part of the above-mentioned course in the form of a general discussion.
So, Ms. Assel Abdimutalip (Biology Pedagogical, Kazakhstan), Mr. Abdulhakeem Idris Abdulhakeem (Aquaculture, Nigeria), and Mr. Kanat Eleybayev (Neuroscience, Kazakhstan) moderated the discussion by presenting five major principles of life-long learning and encouraged the audience to follow them.
All event photos and the PowerPoint presentation may be requested from Mr. Abdulhakeem Idris Abdulhakeem (abdulhakeem_idris@live.kaznu.kz) and Mr. Kanat Yeliubayev (yeliubayev_kanat1@live.kaznu.kz).
In short, the five rules are:
-
Stay curious throughout life
-
Learn daily
-
Accept mistakes as part of learning
-
Constantly adapt to changes
-
Share your knowledge with others
All these are achievable, though the last two (adaptation and teaching) are now more challenging due to the rapid pace of AI development. But we’ll save this part for next year’s discussion, when the situation becomes clearer.
