Online Seminar on International Scientific Programs — Active Participation of the Deputy Dean and Faculty Members. SDG 4 and SDG 17

The faculty members of the Physics and Technical Faculty participated in an online seminar organized jointly by the Science Department and the Young Scientists Council of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The seminar involved the Deputy Dean for Scientific Work of the faculty, as well as an active group of lecturers and researchers.
The purpose of the seminar was to expand the knowledge of young scientists and lecturers about modern international grant programs and mechanisms for securing funding for scientific projects. Special attention was given to the "Horizon Europe" program — a key initiative of the European Union for investment in science and innovation.
The seminar was held online via the Zoom platform, which allowed for a wide audience of young scientists from various departments of the faculty to participate.
This educational online seminar was another important step towards integrating Kazakh science into the global scientific community and contributed to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations, in particular:
-
SDG 4 — Quality Education: Enhancing the competencies of young scientists and lecturers in international scientific cooperation.
-
SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals: Expanding international scientific connections and cooperation through participation in grant programs.
The Deputy Dean for Scientific Work noted the high interest of participants in the topic and expressed confidence that the knowledge gained will help increase the faculty’s competitiveness on the international stage and implement new scientific initiatives.
