A museum lesson on "Information Technologies in museum business"

28.05.25. The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a museum lesson on "Information Technologies in museum business." In order to ensure sustainable development: “Quality education and decent work” within the framework of industrial practice, 3rd-year students majoring in Cultural Studies from the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies at Al Farabi Kazakh National University participated in a lesson with the head of the information department of the museum, I.P. Seredenko, to students of Gymnasium No. 4. The event continued with presentations. Students of KazNU named after al-Farabi made interesting presentations on the topics "Kazakh madeniyin IT technology, zhane jasandy intelligence, arkyly zhangyru" (Anarbai Aigerim), "Culture and artificial intelligence. Who is forming whom?" (Burkitova Balnur) and "Madeni sauattylyk, Eric Hirsch adisimen."(Zhambyl Arailym).  They talked about various aspects of the use of information technologies used in the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other museums around the world, including the digital cataloging of exhibits and the use of modern multimedia tools for museum visitors.  

During the lesson, the practical use of interactive kiosks and a mobile audio guide for visitors using QR codes was demonstrated. 

The interest of schoolchildren and students was aroused by sensory kiosks, where it was difficult to view ancient gold jewelry in 3D format, as well as consolidate the information received on the topic of "Paleontology" in the form of a game on the information panel.
