A round table meeting on the topic "The future of waste-free technologies" in the framework of SDG 15 - Conservation of terrestrial ecosystems

16 october, 2024

On October 15, 2024, teachers of the Department of Biotechnology Kaiyrmanova G.K., Abdieva G.Zh., Ualieva P.S., Kirbaeva D.K. organized a round table meeting on the topic "The future of waste-free technologies" for 2-4 year students of the specialty "Biotechnology", "Microbiology". Waste-free technology is the practical use of all our knowledge and methods for the efficient use of natural resources and the prohibition of pollution in order to meet human needs.

The theory of waste-free technologies creates two prerequisites for substantiating the 2 basic laws of environmental management:

1. Primary natural resources must be produced once for each product used.

2. The created product should easily transform into the original product of a new production after use. This is not only a manufacturing process, this concept also refers to the final product, characterized by a long product life, the possibility of repeated use, ease of return to the production cycle or an easy transition after use into a harmless form. During the round table, students exchanged views on the future of waste-free technologies.
