Coursera recognizes Kazakhstan's innovations in education

During the annual international conference of the Coursera platform, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, was awarded the prestigious international Learning Hero award.
This award is given to leaders who play a key role in modernizing education by advancing digital technologies at the national level. Coursera recognizes those who demonstrate strategic thinking, courage, and leadership by implementing online learning across states and industries.
Kazakhstan is currently implementing one of the most advanced programs in the field of digital education. More than 350 000 certificates on the Coursera platform were received by Kazakhstani students. A number of courses have been translated into Kazakh, and online programs are being actively integrated into university curricula. In addition, key digital resources have become available to all universities in the country.
Thanks to these systemic changes, Kazakhstan is strengthening its position as a country that confidently implements innovative approaches in the field of education and successfully adapts to global digital trends.
