Higher Education – the Foundation of Kazakhstan’s Digital Future.

The words of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, that “economic growth is directly linked to science,” as well as the declared goal of transforming Kazakhstan into a digital nation within the next three years, highlight the strategic importance of science, technology, and innovation for the country’s future.
The key instrument for achieving this goal is higher education. Universities must become centers for training a new generation of specialists who possess digital competencies and skills in working with artificial intelligence. Today, university science should be closely integrated with the IT sector, industry, and business, ensuring practice-oriented research and the implementation of its results.
Innovative educational programs, interdisciplinary projects, and cooperation with international universities will allow Kazakhstan’s universities not only to train qualified professionals but also to become generators of new ideas and technologies. Thus, the strategic emphasis on digitalization and artificial intelligence is directly connected to the modernization of higher education — it is higher education that must become the foundation of the digital economy and the source of the nation’s intellectual capital.
