International Symposium “Integrating Sustainability into Education”

The School of Management, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) and the Swiss Global Competence Lab of Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) are pleased to invite you to an international symposium dedicated to the outcomes of the Movetia-funded project “ConnectEurasia: designing collaborative online learning for sustainability”.

As global sustainability challenges intensify, education systems are called upon to prepare learners who can think critically, act responsibly, and co-create sustainable futures.

The symposium will feature:

• International practices for embedding sustainability into curricula and pedagogy;

• Insights from the ConnectEurasia project, focused on intercultural competencies and SDG 12 “Responsible Consumption and Production”;

• Experiences from partnerships between universities, industry, and communities;

• Student reflections on their COIL learning journey.

The program includes a plenary session and parallel tracks addressing sustainability competencies for industry, current practices of integrating sustainability into education, and innovative educational tools for cross-border collaboration.
