Providing students with quality education is an investment in the future. They should not only gain knowledge in their field of study but also develop comprehensively. The duty of teachers is to guide young people, future specialists, along this path.
September 22 is the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. This holiday has great significance for our country and for the younger generation. Such celebrations foster patriotism, cultivate respect for languages, and encourage appreciation not only for the mother tongue but also for the languages of other ethnic groups.
On the eve of this holiday, the students of the “Russian Language and Literature” major of the Faculty of Philology visited the “Rare Books” Museum at the “Gylym Ordasy” building.
The museum demonstrates the development of the book – from ancient manuscripts to modern publishing. Among its unique exhibits are the ancient inscriptions of “Kültegin,” A. Baitursynov’s alphabet, as well as S. Amanzholov’s and M. Sauranbayev’s Grammar of the Kazakh Language.
Seeing these invaluable works in their original form was not only fascinating but also highly educational for the students. They were able to compare the stages of the Kazakh language’s development with its present state, and they expressed deep gratitude to the scholars, teachers, writers, and poets who, despite many difficulties, preserved and passed the Kazakh language on to future generations.
Language independence is national independence. That is why introducing young people to the history of language, including through such museums, is an important responsibility of educators.
