STRIVING FOR KNOWLEDGE – A VISION OF THE FUTURE

On October 6, 2025, the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized a meeting within the framework of the “International Open Education Programs” project. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Emel Akay and Director of the Language Teaching Center Dilek Öztürk from Anadolu University in Eskişehir, Republic of Türkiye. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between universities and promote academic and scientific exchange.
Anadolu University traces its roots back to the Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958. In 1982, it was transformed into Anadolu University, which has since become one of the leading modern, dynamic, and innovative universities not only in Türkiye but also worldwide.
Located in the heart of Eskişehir — a city renowned for its science, culture, and vibrant youth — the university campus comprises 12 faculties, three of which offer distance education programs, three colleges (including the State Conservatory), three vocational schools, two institutes (including the Institute for Higher Education and Research for the Disabled), and 25 research centers.
During the meeting, Professor Emel Akay emphasized that Anadolu University actively promotes international academic exchange, offering extensive opportunities for students to enhance their professional qualifications and global experience. She noted that the university’s main mission is to integrate into the global educational space and foster youth potential through quality education and scientific research.
This meeting became an important step toward expanding partnerships with international universities and developing student academic mobility. The international education programs once again demonstrated that there are no boundaries in the pursuit of knowledge.
