Training on Stress Resilience Development for Curators-Advisors

8 october, 2025

A training session on developing stress resilience for university curators-advisors was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by the Department of General and Applied Psychology as part of the university’s program for the prevention of suicidal behavior among students.

The training focused on practical strategies for coping with stress and maintaining emotional balance. Participants discussed psychological defense mechanisms, practiced techniques of self-regulation, and developed emotional competence. Special attention was given to interaction with students facing difficult life circumstances and to the role of the advisor as a mediator between the student and the educational environment.

The curators noted that such sessions not only strengthen their own psychological resilience but also improve the quality of student support. The importance of conducting such trainings regularly was emphasized, as they serve as a valuable form of both professional and personal development for teaching staff.

The continuation of the program is planned within the framework of the Winter and Summer Psychological Schools for advisors.
