On October 12, an excursion along the picturesque tourist routes of the Ile Alatau mountains — to the Ayuly Waterfall and Lake Issyk — was organized by the “Zhastour” Club of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism. The trip was supervised by the department’s lecturers A.A. Beisakhmet, M.N. Yesenov, and B.S. Adilbay.
Students learned fascinating facts about the Ayuly Waterfall, one of the most popular attractions of the Turgen Gorge, as well as about Lake Issyk, located in this scenic area. Participants enjoyed the hike in the fresh mountain air and admired the breathtaking natural landscapes.
Such activities strengthen the relationships between students of different academic years, foster team spirit, and encourage the exchange of experience. In addition, senior students share their knowledge and skills with juniors, providing them with professional guidance and mentorship.
This event aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 4, 13, and 15 — “Quality Education,” “Climate Action,” and “Life on Land,” contributing to the preparation of environmentally responsible, well-educated specialists committed to the principles of sustainable development.
