📚 Seminar “Digital Transformation in Education: New Opportunities for Teachers and Universities”

On October 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., a seminar was held in Zoology Room No. 1 of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, organized by EDP Hub LLP and the international academic publisher IPR MEDIA (in coordination with the university administration).
The speaker was Gulzhaur Bikzhanova, Chief Specialist for Work with Authors in Kazakhstan at EDP Hub.
EDP Hub is the developer of the national educational platform E-UNI.KZ, while IPR MEDIA is an international publisher of academic and educational literature.
For over 20 years, both organizations have been introducing digital educational resources across Kazakhstan and integrating works by Kazakhstani authors into electronic library systems (iprbookshop.ru, e-uni.kz).

The seminar highlighted the role of digital educational resources in modernizing the learning process — enriching content, developing students’ IT competencies, and expanding access to modern learning materials. Practical examples were presented on how to align digital platforms with educational objectives.

In the area of publishing collaboration, the seminar discussed opportunities for publishing and republishing textbooks and monographs, incorporating faculty works into digital products, and promoting the university’s scientific school.
Strategies for developing and promoting online university courses and increasing their visibility on modern digital platforms were also covered.

The speaker explained mechanisms for including materials in electronic libraries (iprbookshop.ru, e-uni.kz), which help improve indexation, citation metrics, and publication rankings.
Participants received practical recommendations on copyright, content quality, platform integration, and improving research impact metrics.
