Under SDG 4: knowledge exchange for “Quality Education”
On October 22 of this year, the 1st-year doctoral students of the educational program "8D05108 – Geobotany" of the Department of Botany and Agroecology, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University — Abdualieva Zh.A., Ermekbayeva F.N., Kuandyk N.D., Turailova Sh.A. — under the supervision of the department’s associate professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences Talgat Saduakassovich Ibragimov, attended a presentation by their Uzbek colleague, PhD holder from the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kumush Bakhodirkizi Alieva, on the topic “Grid Mapping of Central Asia” at the Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction. Participation in this scientific event contributed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 4 – “Quality Education.”
The international experience gained during the presentation not only enhanced the qualifications of the doctoral students but also provided opportunities to promote scientific research at the international level.
Additionally, as part of their professional development, the 1st-year doctoral students of the “8D05108 – Geobotany” program visited the Laboratory of Geobotany, where they were received by the head of the laboratory, Liliya Aminovna Dimeeva. The students were introduced to the main research areas, the content of ongoing scientific studies, and modern research methodologies used in the laboratory. During the meeting, the doctoral students discussed opportunities to participate in laboratory projects aligned with their scientific interests and exchanged views on prospects for scientific collaboration..jpeg)
