In October 2025, the Department of Pre-University Training of the Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an educational excursion to Kok-Tobe entitled «ӨЛКЕТАНУҒА саяхат» (Local History Journey) as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11).
A walk in nature is not only a form of leisure but also a great opportunity for students to adapt to a new environment and gain spiritual inspiration.
The panoramic view of the city and the fairy-tale atmosphere of Kok-Tobe left unforgettable impressions on the international students, who were amazed by the beauty of this place.
During the educational nature excursion, students:
Received information about the ecological state of the city;
Got acquainted with the principles of sustainable urban development;
Realized the importance of preserving and protecting natural landscapes;
Admired the picturesque nature of Kazakhstan.
Objective of the event: To promote the ideas of Sustainable Development Goal 11 — ensuring safe, resilient, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable cities and human settlements; to encourage environmental protection; and to support the adaptation of international students to a new environment.
