Educational Excursion to the Almaty Museum
Organized by senior lecturers of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies, A.N. Kuderina and S.E. Kudaibergenov, first-year students visited the Almaty Museum Association on an educational excursion.
This museum serves as a reflection of the rich historical and cultural heritage of our country. Its exhibitions cover a wide historical span — from the Stone and Bronze Ages to the ascent of Kazakhstani alpinists to the summit of Mount Everest. The displays also include the achievements of Independent Kazakhstan, the history of Verny, the celebration of Almaty’s 1000th anniversary under the auspices of UNESCO, the December events, State symbols, and the spiritual values of the nation.
The museum’s interior is designed in a modern and visually engaging style: interactive devices, video materials, and musical accompaniment transport visitors through various eras, creating an atmosphere of living connection with history. Each hall opens a new space for cultural reflection and understanding.
The excursion was held within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project — “Quality Education.” Such activities not only broaden students’ horizons but also help foster respect for cultural heritage and strengthen national identity.
Culture is the soul of a nation. Therefore, it is important for every young person to visit museums like this — to see history with their own eyes and feel it with their heart.
