Psychological support

The main purpose of the Psychological Support Cabinet is to create conditions for the preservation of the psychological health of students, faculty and staff of the University, providing psychological support to persons who find themselves in a difficult life or crisis situation.

The organization and coordination of the activities of the psychological service is carried out on the basis of:

1. Development strategies of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2050:

3. Strategic Development Plan of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2025;

4. National projects of the Republic of Kazakhstan (10 national projects).

Our center provides free individual consultations to all students and employees of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

For senior students, the most pressing issues are self-determination and planning of professional activities. In addition, there are problems inherent in any student (personal problems, fears, inadequate self-esteem, difficulties in making decisions, etc.), which affect the psycho-emotional state of the student, and accordingly, the effectiveness of training.

Psychological activity of a psychologist in five areas:

1. Duty consultant service.

2. Psychological counseling (individual, group, family)

3. Crisis counseling (emergency assistance to clients in health-threatening situations).
