In this regard, on January 15, 2018, the Faculty of Information Technology was opened at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev's message is aimed at implementing the Digital Kazakhstan program, which has a great contribution to the digitalization of Kazakhstan, namely, increasing the number of graduates who are ready to work with artificial intelligence and "big data" in information technology. The Digital Kazakhstan program is the development and application of information technologies in all spheres of life. In this regard, the new faculty has 3 departments for training specialists in this field: the Department of "Information Systems", "Computer Science" and "Artificial intelligence and Big Data".
