The Department of Biotechnology held a bootcamp on laboratory research methods for school students who won prizes in the Republic of Kazakhstan Biology Olympiad. The intensive program was aimed at providing participants with in-depth training for the International Biology Olympiad (IBO) and developing their practical skills in modern biochemical and experimental methods.
During the bootcamp, students had the opportunity to work with current laboratory techniques, familiarize themselves with the university's research infrastructure, and master the skills required in modern science and the biotechnology industry. This format of training promotes early career guidance, the formation of research thinking, and motivation for further education.
This initiative supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, “Quality Education,” by contributing to improving the quality of education and expanding young people's access to practical knowledge and skills. The training sessions create conditions for high-quality and accessible education, as well as supporting the principles of continuous learning and competence development among talented schoolchildren preparing to participate in international intellectual competitions.
