On September 11, 2025, the Department of Political Science and Political Technologies held a festive event dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan.
The initiative was organized within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4 – Quality Education, Goal 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Goal 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. This special day celebrates respect for the languages of all ethnic groups in the country, promoting intercultural harmony and national unity.
The main purpose of the event was to foster respect for the state language, support multilingualism, and promote the linguistic and cultural diversity of Kazakhstan’s people.
Active students and curators of the department participated in the event, presenting a rich program combining art and knowledge.
The celebration began with Elnur Nyghmet performing the famous “Adai” kui on the dombra, symbolizing the pride and spiritual depth of the Kazakh nation.
Then, Aliya Abduali recited a poem about Kazakhstan’s linguistic wealth and cultural diversity.
Sanzhar Zhumabek continued the event with a guitar performance, followed by Zhanerke Abdulgaziz, Asyl Muratbek, and Indira Orazbayeva, who shared fascinating facts about languages and speech culture.
An interactive game organized by Rakhym Ryskali added excitement to the event — participants solved riddles and completed proverbs about language, showing creativity and wit.
At the end, all participants sang “Bir üidin balasyndai” (“Like Children of One Family”) together with guitar accompaniment, symbolizing peace and unity.
The event contributed to the students’ spiritual development, encouraged interest in languages and culture, and promoted the values of interethnic harmony and peace.
Organizers: PhD, Associate Professor Kuralay Ashekeyeva, and 1st-year students of the “Political Science” program.
