«Theatre as a Space for Education and Personal Development»

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is working to implement United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 4,which is "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all." The university focuses on educational and character-building activities, as well as introducing students to national and world culture.

In this context, second-year students of the educational program 6B02205 — "History" — visited the Gabit Musrepov Kazakh State Academic Theatre for Children and Youth. They were guided by their curator-advisor, Senior Lecturer of the Department of the History of Kazakhstan K.K. Kabdoldina. The students attended a performance of the play "Bayansyz Baq" by Vina Delmar.

The trip to the theater helped the students develop a more compassionate outlook, refine their aesthetic preferences, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and broaden their understanding of historical and cultural values. Including theatrical activities in the university's educational practice is an important part of creating well-rounded, culturally educated, and socially responsible youth. This is in line with the strategic priorities of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the goals of sustainable development.
