International Round Table within the Framework of SDG 17 “Partnerships for the Goals”
On December 19, 2025, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an International Round Table entitled “Digital Thinking and Human–AI Interaction: Development Strategies and New Challenges of Global Society.” The event was organized within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 17 “Partnerships for the Goals.”
The aim of the round table was to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize global partnerships for sustainable development by bringing together experts, researchers, and practitioners to develop coordinated approaches to the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in addressing key socio-economic and humanitarian challenges of contemporary society.
During the event, particular attention was paid to education on the social dimensions of sustainable development, including issues of equality, inclusion, human rights, and social responsibility in the context of digital transformation. Participants discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on social processes, the importance of ethical regulation of digital technologies, and the role of education and interdisciplinary dialogue in building a just and sustainable society.
The round table featured a scientific discussion involving faculty members of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan), as well as online participants from the University of Wolverhampton (United Kingdom) and the University of Nottingham (Nottingham, United Kingdom). The international format of the event facilitated academic exchange, strengthened institutional cooperation, and contributed to the development of sustainable international partnerships.
The working languages of the round table were Kazakh, Russian, and English, ensuring inclusivity and broad participation in the discussion.

The International Round Table became an important platform for promoting the values of sustainable development, global partnership, and social responsibility in the digital age, highlighting the active role of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science in addressing contemporary global challenges.
