“Modern Geography and GIS Technologies for Sustainable Development”
From January 6 to 8, within the framework of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), free educational courses were developed and organized jointly with the Institute of Geography for school teachers, as well as for individuals interested in geography and the GIS sector, outside the university campus.

The main objective of the courses was to enhance teachers’ professional competencies, expand participants’ knowledge in the fields of sustainable development, geography, and geographic information systems (GIS), and to promote modern digital tools for spatial analysis.

Within the program, participants became familiar with the key areas of the SDGs, modern methodologies for teaching geography, the fundamentals of GIS technologies, their application in environmental, socio-economic, and territorial studies, as well as practical examples of using GIS to address sustainable development challenges at the regional level.
The implementation of these courses contributed to strengthening cooperation between the Institute of Geography and educational organizations, increasing interest in geography and the GIS sector, and expanding access to quality free education in the field of sustainable development.
