Law and Order – The Pillar of a Civilized Society: An Open Class Held with Students
Law is a set of mandatory rules established by the state. It regulates social relations among people and ensures the protection of the rights and freedoms of every citizen. In a society where law and order are observed, justice prevails, and public safety and stability are maintained.
In this regard, within the framework of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals under the direction of “Quality Education,” on February 5, G.M. Sembayeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Philosophy and curator-advisor, conducted an open curatorial class on legal education for first-year students on the topic “Law and Us: Legal Literacy of a Student.” During the class, students were provided with explanations of their personal responsibilities in society, as well as their rights and freedoms as citizens.
Law and order are the main pillars of any civilized society. If laws are not properly observed, disorder and distrust arise within society. Living in such a society becomes dangerous. Therefore, every citizen of our state must respect the law and take responsibility for their actions.
During the class, students enriched the discussion by giving examples from the experiences of different countries and sharing their own opinions on issues related to law and order.
Knowing the law and not only being aware of it but also complying with it is a clear manifestation of civic culture. A person who respects and obeys the law undoubtedly respects not only their own rights but also the rights of others.
