Inclusion in the Educational Environment: The Role of the Teacher
On February 27, 2026, a seminar for faculty members titled “Inclusion in the Educational Environment: The Role of the Teacher” was held in the E.E. Yergozhin Hall of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.
The event was organized by the faculty members of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers - Associate Professors P.I. Urkimbayeva and Z.A. Kenessova, and Senior Lecturers D.N. Makhayeva and A.Zh. Alikulov. The Head of Department G.S. Irmukhametova and Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Affairs G.Zh. Zhaksylykova, also attended the event. The seminar focused on discussing current issues in developing an inclusive educational environment, enhancing the professional competence of teachers, and creating equal opportunities for all students.
The keynote speaker was Asset Sailauov, a specialist in educational work at the “Inclusive Environment” Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the seminar, modern approaches to inclusive education were discussed, along with practical case studies of working with students with special educational needs and the role of teachers in creating a supportive and accessible academic environment.
The seminar was held in an open dialogue format and generated strong interest among participants, reaffirming the importance of systematic efforts to develop an inclusive culture at the university.
