A seminar entitled “Ludomania as a Social Ill” was organized for third-year students of the Islamic Studies program. The event was conducted within the framework of research practice and focused on a scholarly analysis of the social, psychological, and spiritual consequences of gambling addiction.The seminar was aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 – “Quality Education.” It aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking skills, strengthen their ability to analyze religious and legal concepts in relation to contemporary social challenges, and promote a culture of social responsibility.As part of the seminar, students were introduced to the book “Ak pen kara” (“Black and White”) by Baglan Abdiraiym, dedicated to the issue of gambling addiction. The book explores, in an artistic and educational manner, the impact of gambling on individual destiny, family values, and spiritual well-being. The presentation sought to deepen students’ engagement with the topic and reinforce their sense of social responsibility.
