Clean Kazakhstan: Training Held on the Topic “The Environment Is Our Common Home”
On March 2, 2026, a meaningful training session titled “The Environment Is Our Common Home” was organized at the E. Yergoshin Hall of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology within the framework of the “Clean Kazakhstan” initiative.
The speaker of the event was Abylkassymova Daliya Anvarbekkyzy, Project Manager at Ecosen. The training was attended by first- and second-year students of the educational programs “Chemistry” and “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances.”
During the meeting, key issues such as the development of environmental culture, modern approaches to environmental protection, management of household and industrial waste, as well as the principles of green technologies and sustainable consumption were thoroughly discussed. The speaker highlighted specific projects and practical experience, emphasizing the importance of an active role of young people in protecting the environment.
In addition, the content of the training was aligned with the priority areas of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In particular, the following goals were addressed: 4 – Quality Education; 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production; 13 – Climate Action; 15 – Life on Land.
Within these areas, students were informed about the importance of environmental responsibility, rational use of resources, and the implementation of green technologies in their future professional activities.
It is worth noting that Daliya Anvarbekkyzy has previously delivered educational lectures for the faculty’s students on environmental protection and ecology, sharing her professional experience.
During the training, participants actively exchanged opinions, received answers to relevant questions, and enhanced their knowledge in the field of environmental responsibility.
Such events contribute to strengthening the professional and civic responsibility of students and support the implementation of the “Clean Kazakhstan” initiative as well as the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
