BUILDING CONFIDENCE AND EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE: STUDENT TRAINING
On March 17, 2026, the Faculty of Oriental Studies hosted a psychological training titled “Who am I? Recognizing My Own Values.” The event was organized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, under the direction of “Health and Promotion of a Healthy Lifestyle,” corresponding to Goals No. 3 and No. 4. The organization at a high professional level was ensured by the doctoral students of the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries: G. Temenova, N. Shuinshina, and N. Suleikulova.

The training was conducted by psychologist and public figure Danna Kyzdarbekkyzy Ashirbekova, a guest of the department. The main goal was to develop students’ self-awareness, identify their inner values, and cultivate emotional balance.
During the event, participants explored the philosophical question “Who am I?” and analyzed their personal characteristics. In the practical part, students completed interactive exercises such as “Inner Values Map,” “Dialogue with Yourself,” and “Inner Voice,” aimed at boosting self-confidence. These activities helped students better understand themselves, realize their personal potential, and strengthen self-assurance.
Additionally, participants were introduced to techniques for self-management in stressful situations, positive thinking, and maintaining emotional stability. Psychologist Danna Kyzdarbekkyzy Ashirbekova actively engaged students, guiding each participant to recognize their emotions and achieve inner harmony.

At the end of the training, the faculty shared their impressions, emphasizing the importance of such events for students’ personal development. Many participants noted that the training helped them discover new aspects of themselves and provided practical tools to maintain emotional balance.

This training was an important step in developing students’ psychological culture, personal growth, and inner confidence. Such events demonstrate a new level of support for personal development within the university’s educational process, helping students define life goals and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The students’ enthusiasm and engagement confirmed the high quality of the training and highlighted the need for more such psychological workshops in the future.
