11th President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul on a visit to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

On November 20, 2021, the 11th President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gul, at the special invitation of the Rector of Tuimebayev University, Zhanseit Kanseitovich, met with foreign and native state and public figures, university management, deans of faculties, heads of departments, teaching staff, students, master and PhD students in the Al-Farabi Library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. At the opening of the solemn event, Zhanseit Kanseitovich acquainted the audience with the distinguished guest and made an official speech.

Abdullah Gul delivered a lecture on Kazakh-Turkish relations and foreign policy issues. In his speech, the respected guest emphasized that Kazakhstan is the homeland of all Turkic peoples, and also wished the Kazakh people and the state of Kazakhstan a bright and mature future. In addition, Abdullah Gul stressed the great contribution of the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev to the progressive development of bilateral relations and cooperation between the two states. In his speech, he also noted the great political, spiritual, cultural, economic and strategic importance of the unity of the Turkic world.

Following the results of the solemn event, Rector Zhanseit Kanseitovich gave the guest of honor the title of honorary professor of Al-Farabi University.

The meeting with the 11th President of Turkey was held at the highest solemn level and made a great impression on the participants. The Faculty of History was represented by the teaching staff and students of the faculty headed by the Dean of the Faculty Nogaibayeva Mendigul Sagatovna.
