The XV Republican student subject Olympiad on the educational program "6B04101-State and local government"

In the XV Republican Student Subject Olympiad (hereinafter referred to as the Olympiad), held by al-Farabi KazNU, only bachelor students full-time 2-3 years study at an universities of Kazakhstan Republic on the educational program "6B04101-State and Local Government" could take part.

A prerequisite is the compliance of the participating students with their declared educational program. Otherwise, the commission, if a discrepancy is found, rejected such applications. The application must be drawn up in accordance with Appendix 1. An University presents no more than 2 (two) teams, each of which consists of 3 (three) students to participate in all rounds of the Olympiad. Winners of the Republican Student Olympiads 2020–2022 are not allowed to participate.

The Olympiad includes the following 2 rounds:

1) the first round - preliminary correspondence, consisting of:

– completing a task in accordance with the requirements and strictly according to the educational program (see Appendix 2);

– sending the following documents:

1. Application for participation (from each team member).

2. A letter signed by the rector (vice-rector) and the protocol of the commission on the results of the 1st round of the Olympiad 

3. Project

A team may be denied acceptance of an application and, accordingly, participation in the Olympiad in the following cases:

Based on the results of the first round, the teams with the highest scores according to the relevant selection criteria (see Annex 2) will be selected and invited to the second round.

2) the second round is the final, which is held in the 5th hall of the Higher School of Economics at the al-Farabi KazNU, it will be carried out according to the approved assignments through the following stages:

2 stage – subject testing (maximum 60 points);

3 stage – leader tournament (team captains) (maximum 20 points).

When summing up the results of the final round, the commission takes into account and sums up all the points won by the team at each stage of the second round.

The winner is the university team, the sum of points of which is the maximum among other teams.

The winners, who took the first, second and third places, are awarded with Diplomas signed by the Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of al-Farabi KazNU and sealed with the official seal:

Diplomas are awarded at the end of the Olympiad. 

All participants of the Republican Student Subject Olympiad will receive Certificates

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CONTENT AND DESIGN OF THE ASSIGNMENT

XV REPUBLICAN STUDENT SUBJECT OLYMPIAD

ON EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

"6B04101-STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT"

 

       I. The preliminary round is held on the basis of the commission's consideration of the participants' projects on the theme of the Olympiad.

 

II. Requirements for the design of the assignment(Homework):

Computer text parameters: Times New Roman font, size - 14 pt, paragraph indentation - 1 cm, page alignment - 2 cm, intervals before and after the paragraph - 0 pt, automatic hyphenation, 1.0 line spacing, text volume up to 20 pages.

The title page content information on:

– full name of the university;

- last name, first name of the authors, code and name of the educational program, study’s year;

- the topic of the assignment (homework);

– Full name, position, academic degree (if any), academic title (if any) of the supervisor.

          

III. Criteria for evaluating assignment (homework):

        1. An original and innovative idea

        2. Scientific novelty of the project.

        3. Practical significance of the project.

        4. The level of originality of the text - at least 85%.
