KazNU with Iranian colleagues deepens farabieology.
At the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the Kazakh National University held a meeting of the Dean, Associate Professor B.B. Meirbayev with the cultural advisor of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Hussein Aghazadema.
The event was attended by: Head of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies A.D. Kurmanalieva, Deputy Dean for Scientific and Innovative Activity and International Cooperation A.B. Alchimbaeva and the teaching staff of the faculty.
At the meeting the scientists of the faculty voiced ideas, perspective plans aimed at realization of new ideas and priority directions, voiced in the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan. In order to strengthen partnership and academic cooperation, in solving the set tasks in the field of education, science, held talks on the realization of joint scientific projects, activities.
Today KazNU pays special attention to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Within the framework of the SDGs many scientific and educational projects of the leading higher education institution of the country are realized, the issues of improving the quality of education, peace, justice and effective institutions, partnership for sustainable development are comprehensively covered.

In turn, Huseyin Aghazadeh expressed his gratitude to the scientists of the university and stated that he was glad to cooperate with Al-Farabi University. He noted that it is necessary to pay attention to the creation of scientific platforms for the effectiveness of the goals and initiatives. He also shared new priority methods in the field of education, science, culture.
In addition, the issues of improving international academic cooperation in the areas of academic mobility of students in the specialties of "cultural studies", "Islamic studies", internship of young scientists were considered. Plans to organize international forums, conferences and webinars with the participation of famous scholars-farabiyeh scholars in the Islamic Republic were discussed.
As a result of the meeting it was decided to hold a joint international conference on humanism and ethics in the heritage of Al-Farabi in October 2023-2024 academic year.
