XI INTERNATIONAL ALTAIAN ASSOCIATION SYMPOSIUM
At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University from July 4 to 8 the 11TH INTERNATIONAL ALTAIAN ASSOCIATION SYMPOSIUM "Names of Altai Peoples" was held.
The symposium focused on written and oral sources from ancient times to the present day and the reasons for naming places (geographical and natural features, historical events, socio-cultural influences), religious beliefs, tribes, personal names (onomastics), as well as place names. - phonetic and morphological changes in water names, etc. aims to discuss topics.
The work of this symposium, which is a continuation of our traditionally organized academic event under the name "International Altai Association Symposium", is closely related to the fields of history and culture, literature and art, Turkic studies and scientific research of ancient written heritage, human habitat and environment. is devoted to place-water names (toponymics) that ensure departure.
Interest in the sublime Altai world, which has been studied in various ways by Turkish and foreign scientists and researchers for a thousand years, has never ceased. The work in this direction was revived and deepened after the independence of the Turkic states. Turkic countries and peoples began to get to know each other better, to explore the Turkic world together.
The solemn opening of the symposium was opened with the foreword by the Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, doctor of philological sciences, professor (Kazakhstan) Zhanseyit Tuymebaev, and continued with reports and section works, cultural program. The program of the symposium includes Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Hungary, Korea, Japan, USA, Russia and others. more than 200 participants from the states were registered, they presented and discussed relevant scientific issues in 10 (ten) sections for four days.
As a result of the symposium, a collection of speeches, reports, and articles of the participants of the symposium organized by the International Altai Association will be published, which will be available on the website of the organizers. Secondly, ways of creating conditions for increasing scientific interest in the traditional and discursive aspects of research in the field of Turkic studies and Altai studies were considered. Recommendations for achieving mutual exchange of experience between the accumulated knowledge, ideas, and actual issues in the study of the heritage of Altai scholars have been developed.
the mechanisms of development of scientific research potential of young scientists engaged in the science of Altai studies were considered. an agreement was reached on the launch of scientific projects in the formation of scientific and cultural international cooperation of Altai scientists.
