Kyrgyz scientist delivered a lecture in KazNU

Within the framework of the conference "Migration in Eurasia in the context of security and sustainable development: key trends, challenges and prospects for cooperation", organized at the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, several public lectures by foreign experts were held.

Today, Professor Saltanat Omarova of the Higher School of Economics at the Kyrgyz National University (Bishkek) delivered a lecture on "Shifting Migration Trends in Eurasia in International New Realities".

The speaker highlighted the issues of current trends in the field of migration, as well as considered the factors affecting labor migration.

Saltanat Kairovna paid special attention to the feminization of migration and double discrimination of women as migrants. She also revealed the concept of transformation of labor migration into circular labor migration.

The lecture itself was very lively, given the relevance of the topic. Students, undergraduates and young scientists actively asked questions and participated in the debate.
