Fair Kazakhstan: quality education, honest generation, successful nation

The head of the Department of Language General Education training of Foreigners of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, coach and expert on the PISA international program, UNESCO expert, Ph.D. Konyrova Akbota Turagulovna held a training seminar "A certificate of achievement as a priority" within the framework of the council "Fair Kazakhstan: quality education, honest generation, successful nation" in the city of Zhezkazgan.

The main topic of the training seminar is ESD (education for sustainable development), that is, the formation of transversal (interdisciplinary competencies) among students. As Akbota Konyrova mentioned, reading competencies are the basis of interdisciplinary competencies. At the end of the training seminar, the speaker outlined the tasks of basic secondary education in the formation and development of students (according to the SES RK):

1) spiritual and moral qualities;

2) systems of basic knowledge on the basics of sciences;

3) skills of independent learning and personal self-development;

4) skills in carrying out educational, project, research activities;

5) critical and creative thinking skills;

6) skills of self-realization and interaction in society.
