WITHIN SDG 4 - "Education for sustainable Development"
The head of the Department of Language General Education training of Foreigners of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, coach and expert on the PISA international program, UNESCO expert, Ph.D. Konyrova Akbota Turagulovna held a training seminar "Education for sustainable Development" in Konaev at the invitation of the Department of Education of the Almaty region for teachers, students, and students.
At the training seminar, the speaker told about the importance of interdisciplinary (transversal) skills in the rapidly changing modern world. Such skills are:
1) The ability to ask questions;
2) The ability to set SMART goals/tasks;
3) The ability to be understandable;
4) The ability to argue/conflict in order to protect their interests, ideas and personal boundaries without aggression and violence, maintaining social ties and decent behavior are interdisciplinary skills.
It is important to note that interdisciplinary (transversal) skills are described in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), which were developed in 2015 by the UN General Assembly as a "plan to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all".
