Increasing Student Interest in the Activities of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control

On 11/07/2023, from 09:00 to 11:00 hours, fourth-year students specializing in "Public Health" in Kazakhstan, guided by their curator, Associate Professor S. A. Koshkimbaeva, collaborated with employees from the Sanitary and Epidemiological Department of the city of Almaty to conduct a seminar. The primary focus of this seminar was on the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly 4th Goal: "Quality Education." The central theme of the seminar was "Increasing Student Interest in the Activities of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control."

During the seminar, Mukhamediev Meirkhan Nurahunovich, the head of the Department of Organizational Work and Activity Analysis, presented an overview of the department's structure and introduced the heads of various departments. The opening speech was delivered by Katkenova Gaukhar Sultanovna, the head of the institution. Salkinbaev Zeinolla Bekmyrzaevich, the Head of the Personnel Management Department, provided insights into the procedures for entering civil service. To foster student interest in the field of sanitary and epidemiological control, each department head elaborated on the capabilities and distinctive features of their respective departments. They highlighted the main focus of their activities. The valuable information shared by these experienced heads not only provided students with necessary data but also helped them understand which department aligned closely with their preferences. This clarification enabled students to envision the direction they might pursue in their future careers. Throughout the seminar, students actively participated by posing questions and engaging in discussions on important topics.
