Works on realization of II stage of construction of KazNU campus were inspected

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev inspected the works on realization of II stage of construction of KazNU campus.

The rector together with the investors inspected the territory allocated for the construction of new academic buildings, dormitories, innovation and research centers, as well as a polyclinic. They also familiarized themselves with the new design of the buildings.

June 1, 2022 President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev specially visited the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and familiarized himself with its activities. Then in April this year with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, Deputy Mayor of Almaty Alisher Abdykadyrov and head of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev a commemorative capsule dedicated to the beginning of the II phase of construction of the university was laid.

It should be noted that according to the plan 8 educational buildings, administrative buildings for 12 thousand square meters, a polyclinic of 35 000 square meters, a sports and recreation center of 3000 square meters, housing for employees, innovation center, research center, technology park, as well as dormitories for 12 thousand beds with an area of 3 hectares for students, masters and doctoral students will be built in the campus.
