To enhance the internationalization of the research activities of the Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology and Computer Physics, foreign professors Jean-Pierre Boeuf, Leanne Pitchford, and Laifa Boufendi from the leading universities of Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, France) and Orléans (Orléans, France) were attracted. Professors Jean-Pierre Bouf and Leanne Pitchford are also members of the CNRS research center, LAPLACE. Their research area is energetic and non-equilibrium plasmas. Professor Jean-Pierre Boothe's recent research programs also include projects on plasma engines for satellite propulsion, negative ion sources for neutral beam injection in ITER.  They currently give lectures and consultations on various academic and scientific issues. The main purpose of attracting scientists is to develop the professional qualities, academic communication skills of the teaching staff of our university.
