On the 23th of November, 2023 at 15:00 at the Faculty of Law of KazNU named after al-Farabi within the framework of SDG 4 “Quality Education” by teachers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law Doctor of Law Baimakhanova D.M. and Ph.D. Kusainov D.O. A Round Table was organized on the topic “Professional etiquette of a lawyer” with the participation of 3rd year students. The speakers at the Round Table were Burgembayeva Aidana, AkabayKarlygash and Tanirtayeva Moldir.
The speakers noted that legal etiquette is a type of professional etiquette, which is a set of rules of conduct for employees of the legal profession, ensuring the moral nature of their work and off-duty behavior. Legal etiquette is determined by the specifics of a lawyer’s professional activity and the peculiarities of his moral and social status.
The most important aspect of a lawyer’s professional activity and image is his appearance. What a professional lawyer looks like, how he dresses, how he organizes his workplace, what the documents he prepares look like, all this forms – is an impression on colleagues, visitors, clients, and partners about the specialist and his business qualities. The speakers paid special attention to the formation of a lawyer’s speech culture and his ability to accurately and expressively convey his thoughts.
Students listened with great interest to the speakers who touched upon such specific problems, asked many questions and noted that the development of general culture, good manners, and clear speech is very important for students as future young professionals.
