KazNU hosted a conference dedicated to the problems of literary studies

An international scientific-practical conference "Professor J.Dadebaev and current problems of literary studies" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the famous literary scholar, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Zhangara Dadebaev was held in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The conference was attended by: Advisor to the President of RK Malik Otarbayev, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of RK Darhan Ahmet-Zaki, Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev, who noted the significant work of the outstanding scientist in the field of literary studies.

At the plenary meeting gathered: Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, poet Bauyrzhan Zhakyp, director of the Institute of Literature and Art named after M. Auezov Kenzhekhan Matyzhanov, state and public figures, Kazakhstani and foreign scientists, teachers and professors of the university, young people studying.

At the opening of the conference, the congratulatory letter of the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev was read out by Malik Otarbayev, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"Zhangara Dadebayuly, I congratulate you on your 75th anniversary! The general public knows you as an outstanding scientist, a famous literary researcher. You are one of the first recognized scientists who raised Abaye studies to a new level. Your works "Anthology of Abaytanu" and "Abay's Personality Code" are invaluable assets of culture and spirituality of the nation. Today, as a teacher, you teach students and produce qualified specialists. May your work always be fruitful," the President's letter of congratulations reads.

In turn, the Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darhan Ahmet-Zaki read out the congratulatory message of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek.

"Dear Zhangara Dadebaaiuly! You are a scientist who has made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh literature and literary studies. You have written substantial monographs, textbooks and teaching aids and have been recognized in scientific circles. As a scientist, teacher, you have created your own school and today represent the intelligentsia of the country," the Minister said in his congratulatory message.

Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebaev noted that the scientific and pedagogical path of Professor Zhangara Dadebayev is connected with the alma mater of KazNU, and highly appreciated the merits of the scientist.

"Zhangara Dadebayuly is a graduate of the Faculty of Philology of the Kazakh National University. In different years in the university worked as an assistant, graduate student, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor, dean of the faculty, head of the department. With honor held the position of Vice-rector for academic work of KazNU.

Zhangara Dadebayuly is the author of about 900 scientific, popular science, educational and methodical works. Published 36 author's books, 21 textbooks, collections, monographs as part of a team of co-authors. The main theme of the outstanding scientist is the creativity of great Abai and Mukhtar Auezov. He made an invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakh literature and literary criticism", - said the rector.

During the conference, famous scholars analyzed Zhangary Dadebaev's works on literary studies and shared their opinions. Colleagues and students of the scholar made speeches and wished the jubilee a good health and success.

At the end of the meeting the presentation of the collection of Professor Zhangary Dadebaev "Turyk dүrіk dүniesіnің dүldүl tulғаlary" and the book dedicated to the scientific work of the scientist, published in the publishing house at KazNU "Kazak University" in the series "Ғіbraty ғұмыр" took place.
