Discussion of the megaproject on the topic: "Sustainable development of natural, economic and socio-economic systems of the West Kazakhstan region in the context of green growth" with scientists from the Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov

08.12.23. teachers of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Development, Ph.D. Associate Professor B.E. Shimshikov and Ph.D. Associate Professor G.A. Mukanova and Professor B. Mukhambetov organized a meeting with Board Member, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations of the NAO "Atyrau University named after H.Dosmukhamedov" Utepkalieva Kansulu Musaevna and to the deans of natural and agricultural sciences, PhD Kabiev Yerlan Syrymovich. During the meeting, the issues of the state of the environment and soil cover, the impact of industrial activities on soil pollution were discussed. They also discussed the problem of lowering the level of the Caspian Sea and erosion processes on the exposed seabed. Vice-Rector K.M. Utepkalieva expressed support for the upcoming research work on the project and noted the need and importance of these studies.
