From 4 to 8 December 2023, there were the lectures on Zhurgenov studies and the viewing and the discussion of the documentary film about T.K. Zhurgenov. These events were organized by the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature of the Faculty of Philology within the framework of Zhurgenov Week and were dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the outstanding statesman and public figure Temirbek Karaevich Zhurgenov. At the end of the events the 1st and the 3d year students of the Faculty of Philology made a small theatrical performance based on an excerpt from "Narkom Zhurgenov" historical drama by Rakhimzhan Otarbayev, the honoured figure of Kazakhstan. This drama tells about T. Zhurgenov’s life path. The first part of the performance told about the great deeds done T. Zhurgenov for the nation. The second one was focused on Zhurgenov’s last years of life. This performance prepared by the students produced a great impression on the audience.
