Scientific internship at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics

December 15 to 22, 2023 y. Doctor of Economics, Professor Sansyzbayeva G.N., PhD., Acting Professor Sokira T.S., project manager, PhD, Associate Professor Ashirbekova L.Zh. visited the Azerbaijan State Economics University (UNEC) https://unec.edu.az/(Baku, Azerbaijan).

The visit was organized in the frame of project on "Strengthening state regulation of the social sphere in Republic of Kazakhstan in the post-pandemic period"and was the part of an implementation of the grant financing.

Azerbaijan State Economics University is one of the largest higher educational institutions in the South Caucasus, which trains highly qualified specialists in the field of economics and business. Currently, the university has 10 faculties, which train over 18 thousand different levels students for 22 specialties. The courses are realized in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English languages.

To date, the University has over 40 research centers. UNEC's strategic priority is to become an international university. To this end, the Azerbaijan State Economics University is expanding bilateral and multilateral relations with the world's leading universities in the field of economics, business, as well as in development of educational curricula. 

As part of the internship program, the project participants visited the UNEC Russian School of Economics, where students are trained in 11 specialties, such as finance, world economy, banking, management, economics, business management, accounting, etc. 

Following the visit to the university, an agreement on cooperation between the faculties in conducting joint research, publishing articles, and preparing applications for participation in competitions of funded scientific projects was reached.
