On February 7, 2024, at the Faculty of History, in honor of the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a meeting was held with the main coordinator of the “Union of Turkic Museums” at TURKSOY, Doctor of Historical Sciences Cavid Mövsümlü, PhD doctoral student of the Department of Folklore at Hacettepe University of the Republic of Turkey, Executive Director of the Foundation Turkic history and culture “TURKTAV” Lakhaeva Asel and professor of Hacettepe University Kilinckaya Mehmet Dervis with the participation of students, undergraduates and doctoral students. During the meeting, the executive director of the Turkic History and Culture Foundation “TURKTAV” Lakhaeva Asel spoke in detail about the book fund, which testifies to the development of the history and culture of the Turkic-speaking countries, which are the heirs of the Turkic civilization. Dean of the Faculty of History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Prof. D.S. Baigunakov said that today the problems of Turkic studies are of interest to world scientists. At the meeting, the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Karibaev B.B. presented information about the history and culture of Turkic-speaking peoples.
