KazNU expands cooperation with South Korea in the field of medicine

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with General Director of Hyundai Hospital in South Korea Kim Boo Sop.

During the conversation, the parties shared a number of concrete proposals aimed at further expanding the partnership.

At the meeting the rector of the university told the guest of honor about today's achievements and future plans of KazNU.

"At present, cooperation between KazNU and universities of South Korea is dynamically developing. We are interested in further development of partnership ties. Today with the support of the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev II stage of construction of KazNU campus is being realized. According to the plan, a hospital will be built in the campus. The medical center will have a polyclinic, faculty of medicine and health care. In this context, I propose to open a medical center together with Hyundai Hospital in this building," - said the rector.

In turn, Kim Bu Sop thanked Zhanseit Tuimebaev for the warm welcome and noted that he supports the initiatives voiced by the rector.

"South Korea is among the top three in the world in medicine. At present, the state is working hard on further development of this sphere. Hyundai Hospital employs qualified professors and scientists. Our goal is to become one of the top 10 hospitals in South Korea. We are always ready to develop partnership relations with KazNU. I believe that in the future it is necessary to hold joint scientific conferences, symposiums and meetings", - said the guest of honor.

At the meeting, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebaev and General Director of Hyundai Hospital Kim Bu Seop signed a memorandum of understanding.

In conclusion, the parties agreed on the systematic implementation of the above initiatives and exchanged memorable gifts.
